Bimonthly Magazines
Does anyone know of a good magazine subscription for a history buff?

I wanted to get a good history magazine for my friend, he graduated with a major in history and loves the stuff. Unfortunately all the magazines I’ve researched I don’t know anything about. I would prefer there to be a monthly issue rather than bimonthly…I’ve noticed alot of history magazines are bimonthly. Anyway if you have any experience and preferably are either subscribed to the magazine or have read it…could you let me know of some good options???
His all time favorite time period in history is the American Revolution…but I think he just really has a love for history, so either way whether it be a focused magazine on the revolution or just a really good all inclusive history magazine, it’s fine with me!! Just spill those ideas

One good answer is the Smithsonian magazine. The cool part is that if you get a subscription you’re a member of the Smithsonian and so get into all the museums for free. (I think they still do that, anyway.) Unless you can narrow down his particular interest in history that’s as good a general history magazine as I’ve found.
